BitFire Buzz

News from the team at BitFire Networks + BitFire Studios

Well, call us popular! We’ve been knee-deep in the rodeo, country music, eSports, the Professional Fighters League and Major League Rugby. There’s more, but we get winded just listing it all. Here’s to a fast-paced Spring!

LED vs Green Screen

Imagine standing IN your story and not just in front of it like a traditional green screen. That’s what our LED walls do and what makes BitFire unlike any other studio around. Our LED screens are like virtual reality without the goggles. More than that, you can interact with the graphics and video displays in our LED setting too – with walls and floor completely enveloping you. And yes … we thrive in live environments – both events and productions of all kinds.

Rodeo, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw

Giddy-up! We had a blast with The American Rodeo and Teton Ridge for the #Rodeo Semifinals at Cowtown Coliseum in Fort Worth. We also had the opportunity to catch Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s show during the rodeo.

Sports, sports and more sports

We made the news a lot this month with some of our amazing partners. Settle in and check out this lineup:

Major League Rugby execs were so pleased with our production capabilities, they asked us to partner on the current season using our broadcast program transmission, monitoring and REMI support. Read more from the coverage by SVG.

BitFire was once again in the PFL MMA's corner bringing the Challenger Series to a global audience. Using our transport network, on-air remote talent kits, virtual comms interface, and our proprietary video transport platform – we are thrilled to expand into a second season with this team. We were so flippin' excited to work with the Georgia Gymnastics program! The remote announcers used FireBridge to call the event from the comfort of their office. We totally stuck the landing too.

It's March Madness time!

How's this for a slam dunk? We’re teaming up with Westwood One Sports for another year of college basketball. BitFire provided feeds of every tournament game so Westwood One could monitor and call the radio broadcast in real-time! Nothin' but net.
What do you do when...
...the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards asks you to join them on the red carpet? You jump at the chance!  BitFire worked with Holley Video and Thumbwar to provide top-notch, broadcast-quality feeds of the E! Red Carpet event to offsite SAG execs. Next up … the Oscars! need to bring together 5 camera streams and 2 panel guests to address issues like clean water, energy and other critical issues directly to a live REMI stream from the ASU California Center stage in LA to Phx? If you're Ten Across Summit, you call BitFire! We brought in a technical director, audio engineer, graphics operator, replay operator and a studio engineer for a flawless event.
ICYMI: Social scene
Our very own Operations Director Steve Moorman was selected as a speaker for the Sports Video Group Systems Integrator Summit: “Bringing together leading systems integrators to discuss their latest projects, the rise of IP and the cloud and the latest technology trends being seen in the industry today.” We couldn’t have picked a better man to represent and discuss the latest and greatest happenings at BitFire …. Oh wait, we did pick him!
