BitFire Buzz - April 2022

BitFire Buzz

News from the team at BitFire Networks + BitFire Studios

Whew! We got through March Madness, rodeos and rugby – now on to April award shows, American Idol and the world’s leading marketplace of unbridled innovation, unmatched connections and transformative broadcast technologies - NAB.

Well, the Oscars were interesting this year!

BitFire was once again at some of the most talked about events around.

For the second year in a row, alongside Holley Video Consultation, BitFire joined the production for the 2022 Oscars! This year, we brought live remote sign language interpreter feeds to tablets at each table for those who needed it.

We were there when a fortunate few heard those four magic words: “You’re going to Hollywood!” Working alongside Holley Video, NEP Group, Inc. and Pacifico TV, Bitfire engineered the 180 Room at American Idol, a solution to connect families and contestants during the production’s socially distanced audition process. A special shout-out to our friends at Sports Video Group who wrote a wonderful piece all about it.

We were at it again with 2Twelve Consulting and the MLB Network helping make sure the Hobey Baker Award Show went off without a hitch by providing our unique BitFire IP transport and production services.

We teamed up with Sports Video Group and Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation to enable them to remotely host their ongoing Families in Recovery: Virtual Recovery series using our FireBridge tech. This incredible resource is for those dealing with addiction to get the help they need without limitations.

We want to thank 2Twelve Consulting Group for helping facilitate the amazing LinkedIn Forward 2022 event. Our FireBridge technology once again rose to the challenge and allowed for live remote guests to be a part of the production - connecting studios in London, Vegas and San Fran.

ICYMI: Social scene
Working with football icons Rob Gronkowski and Rob Ninkovich, we produced The Jimmy Fund Bingo Night, using our remote announcer kit to call the shots from Gronk’s home. The event helps make a difference in the lives of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute patients.

For 5 days, the world's most talented producers and creators will discover new technologies, share knowledge, make new connections, hear from global thought-leaders and discover innovative ways to advance their broadcasting and production knowledge.
It’s the perfect spot for BitFire to showcase our groundbreaking technology and share how we can help plan for your next broadcast. If you are producing any of the events below or any others, we’d love to meet to see how we can join your production team.
